L&D Philosophy

Ipsos is fully committed to its employees growth and development. Our “Learning & Development Philosophy” sheds light on this subject.

Development begins with a realisation of a need and a motivation to do something and as adults we learn in a multiplicity of ways. Therefore, the philosophy recognizes 3 main ways of learning:

  Formal training
  On–the-job activities
  Relationships and feedback

Whereas the most powerful learning comes from a blend of different approaches, it is important to understand that identifying activities from the three categories represent one of the clues for development.

This philosophy also emphasizes the 3-way commitment involved in achieving the employees’ development:

The employee’s responsibility in planning and taking action to  achieve personal and professional goals

The manager’s commitment to provide ongoing feedback and coaching to enable individual growth

The company’s commitment to provide the necessary environment for people to learn and develop

Our L&D philosophy helps us make a Better Ipsos.
